Got an idea that could help us tackle climate change in Devon or Cornwall? A new initiative backed by Devon and Cornwall councils is looking for bold carbon-cutting project ideas to be pitched at an event on July 8th 2021.
The #BackTheFuture campaign is looking for three projects that can take part in a unique 24 hour crowdfunding challenge.
You’ll need to be quick to get your ideas in though, as the deadline for submissions is Tuesday June 8th at 12pm.
If you’ve always thought that you had a great idea to tackle climate change, or if you have a project simmering in the background, this could be a great opportunity.
You’ll need to explain your carbon-cutting project in 100 words, and why you believe it can play a part in tackling climate change. Those accepted will be in with a chance of receiving a month’s world class coaching in preparation for a 24 hour live crowdfunding challenge.
There are also cash prizes for the best ideas to help them get off the ground.
1st prize: £5000
2nd Prize: £3000
3rd prize: £2000
To send your pitch, you’ll just need to complete the short form on the #BackTheFuture crowfunder page here.
